The Beatles: The Biggest Sellers of the 21st Century (so far)

The numbers are in Beatle lovers; once again, for yet another decade the BEATLES have the biggest selling album for the past 10 years. Can you guess Which one it is?












According the "PREFIX" Media tracking, the following list contains the biggest sellers in the United States for the years from 2000 through 2009. Bear in mind, this is just US sales. "1" by the Beatles has sold approximately 35 Million worldwide. All this from a band that broke up in 1970.

Your humble correspondant would like to add that each and every one of the original Beatles UK LPs still sell around 250,000 copies per year in the US alone as they have for the past three decades. The amount of Beatles product in new circulation is utterly staggering.




Top 10 selling albums:

1. The Beatles: 1 -11,499,000 units sold

2. 'NSYNC: No Strings Attached - 11,112,000 units sold

3. Norah Jones: Come Away With Me - 10, 546,000 units sold

4. Eminem: The Marshall Mathers LP - 10,204,000 units sold

5. Eminem: The Eminem Show - 9,799,000 units sold

6. Usher: Confessions - 9,712,000 units sold

7. Linkin Park: Hybrid Theory - 9,663,000 units sold

8. Creed: Human Clay - 9,491,000 units sold

9. Britney Spears: Oops! ... I Did It Again - 9,185,000 units sold

10. Nelly: Country Grammar - 8,461,000 units sold
